Everything we sell is sent free of charge to addresses in the United Kingdom. This page explains when your order leaves us, when Royal Mail should bring it to your door, where we can and cannot deliver, and what to do if a parcel is late, damaged or does not turn up at all.

Free delivery on every order

Delivery is free on every order we take. There is no minimum spend, no charge for heavier items such as carpet cleaners or stand mixers, and no delivery charge added at any point in checkout.

  • FREE delivery on every order, with no minimum spend.
  • No delivery charge ever, whatever you buy and wherever in the UK you are.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable, so the price you see is the price you pay. Our billing policy has more on payment and pricing.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders are dispatched within 1-2 business days. Royal Mail then delivers within 3-5 business days after dispatch. Business days mean Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and UK bank holidays, so an order placed on a Friday evening or over a bank holiday starts its dispatch window on the next business day.

Stage Timing What this means
Dispatch from us 1-2 business days Counted from when your order is placed. Your item is picked, packed and handed to Royal Mail.
Royal Mail delivery 3-5 business days Counted from dispatch, not from the order date.
Typical total 4-7 business days Order to doorstep, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
Delivery cost Free Every order, no minimum spend, no surcharges.
Delivery area United Kingdom only We do not ship outside the UK.

These are estimates rather than guaranteed times, because the final leg is in Royal Mail’s hands. If something has gone wrong we will tell you plainly rather than let you wait in the dark, and your legal position if delivery is delayed is set out further down this page.

Tracking your order

When your parcel leaves us we email you a dispatch confirmation with the Royal Mail tracking number for your order. Tracking can take a little while to start showing movement, so a number that looks quiet on the first day is normal.

If your tracking has not updated for three business days, email us with your order number and we will chase it for you.

If nobody is home

Smaller, flatter items may fit through the letterbox. Most of what we sell is bulkier than that and needs someone to take it in.

  • Royal Mail may leave the parcel with a neighbour, or in a safe place if you have asked them to.
  • Otherwise you will get a card telling you where your parcel is and how long it will be held.
  • You can arrange a redelivery or collection directly with Royal Mail using the details on that card or on your tracking page.
  • If a parcel comes back to us undelivered, we will contact you to send it out again at no cost, or refund you if you would rather not wait.

Where we deliver

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only, which means England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We do not ship outside the UK.

  • Scottish Highlands and UK islands. Delivery is free on the same terms to the Highlands, Orkney, Shetland, the Hebrides, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly. There is no island surcharge. Parcels to these areas can sit at the far end of the delivery window where ferry or air links and weather are involved.
  • Northern Ireland. Part of the United Kingdom, delivered free on exactly the same terms as the rest of the country.
  • Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. These are Crown Dependencies and not part of the United Kingdom, so they fall outside our delivery area and we cannot send orders there.
  • BFPO addresses. These sit outside our standard UK delivery coverage. If you need an order sent to a BFPO address, email us before you place it and we will tell you whether we can dispatch it.

Delayed, damaged or missing parcels

A late parcel

If the fifth business day after dispatch has passed and nothing has arrived, email us with your order number. We will chase Royal Mail, and if the parcel is lost we will send a replacement or refund you.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, where no delivery date has been agreed, goods must be delivered without undue delay and in any event within 30 days of the order. If that does not happen, you can give us a reasonable new deadline, and if we miss that too you can cancel the order and get your money back.

A damaged parcel

Tell us as soon as you can and keep the packaging. Photographs of the box and the item help us settle it quickly. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have 30 days from receipt to reject them for a full refund, and after that you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and then to a price reduction or a final right to reject. These are rights against us as the retailer you bought from. They are yours in law, they are separate from any guarantee a manufacturer chooses to offer, and using one does not affect the other. See warranty and replacement and returns and refunds.

A parcel marked delivered that you do not have

Check with neighbours and any safe place you use, and look for a card. If it is still missing, contact us. Goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession, or the possession of someone you have named to take delivery, so a parcel lost in transit is ours to sort out, not yours.

Changing or cancelling an order

If you need to change or stop an order, email us quickly with your order number. If it has not yet been dispatched we will do our best to catch it.

Once your goods have arrived, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days from the day you receive them to cancel, and a further 14 days to send them back. That statutory right stands on its own. Our 30-day returns promise, with FREE return postage, sits on top of it and never replaces, shortens or limits it. Refunds are processed within 7 days of the return reaching us. The full detail is on our returns and refunds page, and our terms and conditions set out the contract between us.
